Latest Updates from Our Project:

eBooks sent and print books ordered!
1 day ago – Wed, Nov 20, 2024 at 07:17:16 AM

The headline says it all really - for those of you who have filled in your questionnaires (👀 looking at you 5 backers who haven't completed the surveys yet!) I sent out eBooks yesterday, and placed orders for all the print books.

Hardback sample! It's gorgeous 😎

I was really excited last night when the hardback sample arrived from the printer! It's absolutely gorgeous - I hope these images show it off properly:

The gold foiling on the hardcover is amazing and glints in the light, and the dustjacket is so festive and beautiful. The interior pages are white so they show off the colour images really well 😎

And the edges and end papers! Oh my!! I love how the Victorian wallpaper design makes it looks so luxurious.

If you ordered the hardback during the campaign, you can add the sprayed edges as an add-on during the questionnaire. Or you should be able to add a hardback if you didn't order one already 😊

Surveys coming soon!
15 days ago – Wed, Nov 06, 2024 at 03:04:23 PM

I'm pleased to say I finally got my head around the shipping (I hope!) and have got the surveys ready; they're just being checked by the team at Backerkit.

What's next?

eBooks
The eBooks are ready to go, so I should be able to start distributing them once I have your preferred email address from the survey.

I'll be sending eBooks via BookFunnel, a service that lets you easily download the books to your device and preferred eReader app. You can even read on BookFunnel's own app, which is very good!

Print books
I've been waiting on samples of the print books so I can check they're okay before placing your orders.

The paperback arrived tonight, which was really exciting, and it looks great! 🤩

The hardback should arrive soon (I don't have a delivery date yet). Assuming everything is okay with the sample I can start placing your orders after that, as long as I have your address from the survey.

All being well, your print books should arrive in December.

The next contact you get from me should be the Backer Survey - please look out for it!
Thanks again for supporting my campaign 😁

Lady Persi is working hard on a mystery!
about 1 month ago – Sun, Oct 13, 2024 at 07:08:02 AM

...the mystery that is Backerkit Questionnaires lol 😜

I just wanted to give you a wee update and let you know that I haven't forgotten you!

In the past I've used a different Pledge Manager and it's taking me a while to get my head around the Backerkit version. But one thing I've realised is that, once I send out the questionnaires, the digital (eBook) fulfilment should happen at the same time, as they appear to be integrated...

Up until now when I've run a campaign I've done the questionnaire, finalised all the reward items, and then started fulfilment.

This way around the finalising is happening first but then fulfilment should start sooner. I think. If I'm understanding it right! 🙃

So watch this space!

YAY!!! Lady Persephone will be coming your way soon!
about 2 months ago – Thu, Sep 26, 2024 at 03:00:54 PM

🥳 A huge THANK YOU to each and every backer who made this campaign such a success! 😍

From the first hour or so when I'd not long returned from holiday in Shetland and nobody had joined the party to the final minutes when we gained 3 new backers and passed another stretch goal, it's been quite a ride! 😅

We passed the $1,800 mark in the final hour, so, as long as all the pledges go through okay, it looks like the hardbacks will have gold foiling!

I also added custom sprayed edges as an add-on at the last minute, so if you want to pretty-up your hardback, you'll be able to add that at the Questionnaire stage.

The hardest part about offering this add-on was finding a mockup image that I could use to show the design. If I find a better version, I'll let you know!
